The NFL trade deadline is just around the corner. The deadline lies at 4 P.M EST on November 4th, a day that is coming fast.

The Buffalo Bills could use some extra help at a plethora of positions, whether it be wide receiver , defensive line, or defensive back. However, the team isn’t exactly in the best position in terms of their cap space to make a splash on a big-time player.

There are a few trade possibilities around the league that would make sense for both sides, provide cap flexibility, and give the Bills a true boost to their roster.

1. Chris Olave, WR, Saints

If you’ve been around the rumor mill, you’ve heard this one a thousand times. There’s a good reason for this, though. Olave provides the Bills with a young, reliable, and dependable receiving talent with incredible upside.

Olave carries a cap hit of just over six million. While that would put the Bills over the cap, it would only take some simple cap gymnastics to make it work. Olave has two years left on his deal as well, and if the trade works out, it might just give the Bills their next long-term WR1 for Josh Allen.

Consistency in the passing game has been a missing piece for the Bills since the departure of Stefon Diggs, and Olave could give the Bills’ passing attack the steadiness and confidence they need.

Honestly, out of all the receivers available and rumored to be moved, this might be the only one that moves the needle for Buffalo.

2025 stats: 52 receptions – 503 receiving yards – 3 touchdowns

2. Jeffery Simmons, DT, Titans

The Titans’ front office has made it known to teams around the league that they are not willing to trade Simmons at this time, but, for the right price, anyone will change their mind, right?

Simmons is, simply put, one of, if not the best, defensive tackles in the NFL. He would provide an immense boost and relief to a Bills defensive line (and defense as a whole) that is depleted by injury. TJ Sanders and Ed Oliver, both on Injured Reserve for the foreseeable future, don’t bode well for a struggling run defense. The Bills are, in fact, historically bad against the run this year, allowing 156.3 rushing yards per game. Simmons would definitely help shore things up.

This one isn’t likely; the Titans have apparently been vocal about not wanting to give him up, and he carries a very hefty $22 million cap hit this year. However, if this were to happen, it would give the Bills one of the scariest defenders in the league and bolster an incredibly efficient pass rush. If it’s possible at all, send the picks.

2025 stats: 4.5 sacks (tied most among DT), 28 T=tackles (8 TFL), 23 pressures, 11 QB hits

3. Tariq Woolen, DB, Seahawks

The Seahawks’ defense has taken a massive step forward in the past few years, and CB Tariq Woolen has taken a step back since his strong rookie campaign.

To put it bluntly, he hasn’t been good this season. Woolen has allowed 26 receptions for 204 yards and a touchdown. He has also been penalized six times and has missed numerous tackles.

However, at his peak, Woolen is an incredibly athletic and sticky corner who, alongside Maxwell Hairston, could provide the Bills with two physically gifted corners to bring energy and rejuvenate a struggling secondary.

His asking price shouldn’t be too high, and he is in the final year of his rookie deal, which makes the cap manageable. Woolen could still have a lot to offer if given a new opportunity, and with the emergence of two young corners for the Seahawks, it wouldn’t be wild for them to move on.

Worst case, the Bills get some needed depth and move on. Best case, the Bills have the most athletic cornerback set in the league. Worth the risk if you ask me.
