The Buffalo Bills have hit many road bumps as of late and it has Bills fans uneasy. The Bills went into the 2022 NFL season as the favorites to win the Super Bowl but seem to have hit a rough patch in the last two weeks with back-to-back losses. The Bills have dropped to third in the AFC East and sixth in the AFC standings.

Buffalo has failed to put up points when needed to close out games, only putting up 12 points in the second half in the last three games. Josh Allen is a large reason the Bills have been struggling to score second half points. He has thrown 10 interceptions (most in the NFL) through nine weeks. There are many questions that have been brought up about the Bills but they are still one of the best. They have lost by three points or less in their three losses.

While many Bills fans are close to hitting the panic button or jumping to conclusions on the season, we suggest you wait. While Allen has been struggling up to this point in the season, Patrick Mahomes also showed a less than expected first 9 games last season, as Mahomes had 2,761 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 2021 through 9 games, which is worse than what Allen is doing this season. The Bills are still leading the league in yards per game, yards per play, and third down conversions, while they are second in points scored per game right behind the Chiefs.

This Bills team has struggled with injuries on both sides of the ball all season long which has been a big reason for their dip in performance. Buffalo has still played great when factoring in the amount of injuries on the defensive side of the ball. And, this week they will be without Greg Rousseau, Tremaine Edmunds, and Tre’Davious White, while Jordan Poyer is questionable.

Looking ahead into the weekend the Bills are set to take on the Cleveland Browns at Ford Field in Detroit after the game was relocated due to weather. The Bills will look to take advantage of the 29th (PFF) ranked defense and on Thanksgiving look to take advantage of the Detroit Lions, the 30th (PFF) ranked defense.

Many eyes will be on quarterback Josh Allen and the coaching staff to turn the team around this weekend no matter the stadium they play in. Every great team has its struggles and the Bills are no different. Don’t hit the panic button just yet. Sean McDermott, Josh Allen, and the Bills have something to prove.
