Week 1 is finally here! The Cardinals will make the trek to Buffalo to take on the Bills on Sunday afternoon, so we have some things to bet on.
The Cardinals’ defense was not exactly great last season, and they did not improve much on paper coming into this season. This bodes well for the Bills new-look offense to get off to a hot start and put up some points. So, let’s look at some bets I like for this matchup.
Josh Allen Over 1.5 Passing TDS- 2 Units (-148)
This one has a lot of juice, I know. But, it’s week one and you need to see one go through to start the season. The Cardinals gave up 32 passing touchdowns last season, which was good for third worst in the league. An elite QB like Josh Allen should take full advantage of this.
Curtis Samuel Over 29.5 Receiving Yards- 1 Unit (-113)
This seems like a low total to me in Samuel’s Bills debut. I think the Bills try to get him involved early to help build up some chemistry with Josh Allen, and he hits this total easily. Plus, with a player as shifty as Samuel he can take one screen 30 yards.
Dawson Knox Anytime TD Scorer- 1 Unit (+430)
Knox has been a red zone favorite for Josh throughout his career. This feels like good value to me, especially when red zone coverage could roll more toward Kincaid and Coleman, the seemingly bigger threats.
