The Bills will travel to LA to face the Rams in the NFL’s season opener on Sep. 8 on Thursday Night Football.
The NFL gave fans what they wanted to see to start the 2022 season: Bills at Rams in primetime.
The entire country will get to see the Bills, a team many thought were the best in the league last year, take on the Rams, last year’s Super Bowl winner.
This might’ve been 13 seconds away from a Super Bowl matchup last year and it has the potential to be this year’s matchup as both teams remain talented on both sides. There will be one major power shift between these teams, however, and that is Von Miller.
Miller will be making his return to Los Angeles in the first game that he plays as a Buffalo Bill. You can be sure that he’ll be looking to make a statement against his former QB Matthew Stafford and the Rams. Fresh off earning a Super Bowl ring with the Rams, Miller is now looking to do the same thing for his new team.
You can be sure the stars will be out in LA for this game, and not just on the field. This game is certain to have a big celebrity presence as well. They will all want to get an in-person look at the unicorn that is Josh Allen go up against a good defense and last year’s champs.
This is the first time the Bills have opened their season on Thursday Night Football and it very well could be a preview of a Super Bowl matchup this year.
The Bills will not have it easy playing against guys like Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Jalen Ramsey, Aaron Donald, etc. Right off the bat the Bills will have a big test for them to see if they are capable of competing with the best of the best and if they have what it takes to be a Super Bowl caliber team. These are the games they are going to have to win if they want to be taken seriously this season, and to lock up home field advantage in the playoffs as well.
