The Buffalo Bills have a chance to put an early stranglehold on the AFC East when the New England Patriots come to town Sunday night.
The 4-0 Bills, who already have divisional wins vs. the Jets and Dolphins, can essentially take a 3.5-game lead with a victory over the 2-2 Patriots.

However, a win by the Patriots would go a long way for them down the stretch.
Not only would it bring them to within one game of taking the AFC East, but the Patriots have an extremely favorable schedule after their showdown with the Bills.
The remaining 13 games after Sunday show teams with a combined .313 winning percentage. Conversely, the Bills remaining opponents have a combined .458 winning percentage.
Should the Patriots beat the Bills Sunday night, they’d essentially be within 1 game of the AFC East lead.

After Sunday, the combined winning percentage of teams the Pats play in their last 13 games is .313, while the Bills opponents are .458.

Currently, after four weeks, the Bills are heavy favorites to win the AFC East, with Vegas giving them -2000 odds to do so.
