The Buffalo Bills defeated the Seattle Seahawks on the road in Week 8, 31-10. Bills Mafia came into Seattle strong and made it feel like a home game for the Bills.

Josh Allen and the Bills offense was on fire with only one real stutter and defensively Buffalo was shutting down Seattle all day long. With the victory, the Bills move to 6-2 on the season and have a firm grasp of first place in the AFC East.

The Good

Josh Allen

Josh Allen had himself a great performance against Seattle on Sunday. Allen threw for over 280 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. Allen did have one hiccup, though. He threw an interception. The good news is, it’s his first interceptions thrown all season. Allen looked good despite some troubles that came with the rain. Allen connected on 23 of his 34 pass attempts and finished the game with a 102.9 rating.

James Cook

James Cook had a phenomenal game in Week 8. Cook finished with 17 carries for 111 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, averaging 6.5 yards per carry. He was a resilient runner and got in the endzone late in the third quarter and early in the fourth quarter.

Cook added three receptions for 22 receiving yards. He refused to slow down and kept his legs turning the entire game.

Keon Coleman

Rookie receiver Keon Coleman was coming off a great performance against the Titans in Week 7 when he had 125 receiving yards. In Week 8, Coleman had another impressive performance in which he racked up five receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown. The game is really starting to slow down for the Florida State product and he’s getting more comfortable with Josh Allen and the Bills offense.

Khalil Shakir

Khalil Shakir led the Bills in receiving yards with 107 yards off nine receptions. Shakir has been Allen’s most reliable target on the Bills offense and continues to produce when he is given the chance. Shakir’s longest reception of the day was a 35-yard bomb which changed the field position for the Bills, putting them in Seattle territory.

Taron Johnson

Taron Johnson led the Bills in tackles with eight total and four solo. Johnson played a fast and physical game, keeping Seattle shut down from start to finish. He kept the Seahawks offense on their toes and played a vital role in holding them to only 10 points.

Greg Rousseau

Greg Rousseau had a great game, finishing with four total tackles, two tackles for loss, two passes deflected, and one quarterback hit. Rousseau looked explosive off the edge and should continue to help the Bills defense going forward with these types of performances.

The Bad

Amari Cooper

Amari Cooper had a lackluster game in Seattle on Sunday. Cooper finished the game with two targets, only receiving one of them for three yards. This is only Cooper’s second game with the Bills since being traded two weeks ago. Yet, in his first game with the Bills he finished with four receptions for 66 yards and a receiving touchdown. Cooper has been put on the Bills’ injury list with a wrist injury and was limited in practice on Wednesday this week. Bills Mafia is hoping to see Cooper recover from his injury and get back on the field.

Penalties

The Bills had another week of committing way too many penalties. The Bills really hurt themselves with 13 penalties which totaled 85 yards. The Bills will look to clean this up going forward as they take on the Miami Dolphins Week 9 in Buffalo.
