Cutdown day is a day full of emotion for NFL players, veterans and rookies alike. These players have been working since June to make their team’s roster, and some will get their first opportunity on a 53-man roster while others will get their 10th. Some will have their dreams cut short before they even have the chance to start. So it goes in the NFL, a league that is built around winning.

Veteran DT Jordan Phillips was signed to the 90-man roster and subsequently released. Expect him to be on the Bills’ practice squad to start the season.
