The Buffalo Bills held off their nemesis, the Kansas City Chiefs, last week to improve their record to 6-2.

Hurdling the Chiefs allowed the Bills to keep pace with the AFC East leading Patriots, and their two losses are now tied for the fewest in the AFC with New England, Indianapolis and Denver.

However, because they aren’t leading the AFC East currently, the Bills are the fifth seed in the conference.

As we get into the heart of the NFL season, there are several teams that the Bills are rooting for to lose this weekend to help them attain their goals of winning the East and the number one seed in the conference.

There are six rooting-interest games that Bills fans should keep an eye on this weekend, starting Thursday night in Denver.

Obviously, the outcome Bills fans should want the most this weekend is for Buffalo to beat Miami.

Here are the teams Bills fans should be rooting for to win in order of prevalence this weekend:

Buccaneers (-2.5) over Patriots
Before securing the number one seed in the AFC, the Bills first must win the AFC East. Currently the Patriots have the tiebreaker after beating the Bills in Week 4.

A Patriots loss versus the Buccaneers along with a Bills win would put the Bills back on top in the AFC East and move them into the top three AFC seeds.

Falcons (+6.5) over Colts
As it stands today, the Colts hold the number one seed in the AFC because they’ve only lost one conference game.

A loss to the Falcons would give them their third loss and would position the Bills in the top two AFC seeds should they win and the Patriots lose.

Raiders (+8.5) over Broncos
A Broncos loss to the Raiders on Thursday Night Football would give them three losses and again, should the Patriots lose and Bills win, would bolster the Bills into a top-two seed.

Chargers (-3.5) over Steelers
This is a tough game to decipher in regard to who the Bills need to lose more.

Currently the Steelers are leading the AFC North by two games.

The Chargers (6-3) are looking up at the Broncos (7-2) and down at the Chiefs (5-4) in the West.

Personally, I’d prefer to keep the Chargers rolling, which would put the Chiefs in a tough spot in the division race.

Vikings (+4.5) over Ravens
As it stands today, the Ravens hold the tenth seed in the AFC and are two games behind the Steelers for a spot in the playoffs.

Lamar Jackson is back to full strength, and if they Ravens reach the playoffs, they’ll be a tough out.

Texans (+1.5) over Jaguars
The Jaguars currently hold the last wild card spot and are competing with the Chiefs (5-4), Houston (3-5) and Ravens (3-5) for it.
