Just when you thought the Bills season was over, they reeled you back in.
Buffalo handily beat the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, giving Bills Mafia some confidence that they might indeed make a playoff run this season.
The win didnât move the Bills (8-4) in the standings any, however, as they remain stuck in the seventh seed behind the Chargers and Colts who are also both 8-4 and have better conference records than the Bills.

The Bills focus, as itâs been over the past several weeks, should be to simply make the playoffs.
The AFC East has been overtaken this season by the Patriots (11-2) who continue to have the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Billsâessentially a three-game lead.
There are several teams the Bills are rooting for to lose this upcoming weekend to help them with AFC playoff positioning.
Obviously, the Bills need to beat the Bengalsâa team who is fighting for their playoff lives at 4-8.
Here are the teams that Bills fans should be rooting for in order of prevalence this weekend.
Steelers (+5.5) over Ravens
The Steelers and Ravens both have 6-6 records and only one team from the AFC North will likely make the playoffs.
Going into Baltimore in the wild card round is not a scenario Iâd like to see.
Jaguars (+1.5) over Colts
This game comes down to which team youâd less like the Bills to travel to in the wild card round.
I vote not playing Jonathon Taylor and the Colts. Also, a Colts loss and a Bills win would move Buffalo into the sixth seed.
Eagles (-2.5) over Chargers
The Bills are competing with the Chargers (8-4) for wild card positioning in the AFC. A Chargers loss and a Bills win would put the Bills in at least the sixth seed.
Chiefs (-3.5) over Texans
It pains me to want the Chiefs to win anything. But, with them likely out of the playoffs and the Texans on the outside looking in (currently 8th seed), a Houston loss would put them at 7-6 and make it that much harder to leapfrog the Bills.
Also, the Texans have the head-to-head advantage over Buffalo.
Raiders (+7.5) over Broncos
The number one seed is unlikely for the Bills since the Patriots have a stranglehold on the AFC East. BUT, if somehow the Patriots were to collapse over their remaining four games and the Bills were to secure the AFC East, theyâd be in a battle with the Broncos for top seeding.
