Buffalo Bills rooting interests in Week 17

The Buffalo Bills survived a scare versus the Cleveland Browns on the road in Week 16, winning 23-20.

No matter how futile the team, a win is a win. And that win, combined with the Colts losing Monday night, has secured the Bills a playoff spot for the seventh consecutive season.

Even though they made the playoffs, the Bills continue to have their sights on winning the AFC East and even obtaining the number one overall AFC seed—but they’ll need help.

There are multiple teams the Bills are rooting for to lose this upcoming weekend. Obviously, a Bills win versus the Eagles is necessary to keep them alive for the division crown and number one seed.

Jets (+13.5) over Patriots
If the Bills want to overcome the Patriots in the AFC East, they need to win their last two games and the Patriots need to lose to either the Jets or Dolphins.

Chiefs (+13.5) over Broncos
The number one AFC seed is still obtainable for the Bills, but it involves winning the East and Denver losing one of their remaining games.

Texans (+1.5) OVER Chargers
At this point, the Chargers and Bills share the same record, with the Bills holding the six seed in the AFC and the Chargers holding the five spot.

Steelers (-3) over Browns
Only one team is coming out of the AFC North division. I’d rather it be the Steelers than the Lamar Jackson-led Ravens.

Colts (+6.5) over Jaguars
The Jaguars hold the same record as the Bills. The Jaguars still have a possibility of obtaining the number one overall seed. A loss on Sunday would put a big damper on that.

Packers (-3.0) over Ravens
A loss by the Ravens all but eliminates them from playoff contention.
