The Buffalo Bills have agreed to terms with safety Damar Hamlin on a one-year contract extension, the team announced Wednesday. He is signed through 2025.
Coming off a 2023 season that saw him gradually reintroduced into the defensive backfield mix for the Bills after suffering cardiac arrest on the field late in the 2022 season, Hamlin earned a starting safety role in 2024. He started 17 games, including three playoff games.
During the 2024 campaign, he recorded two interceptions and five passes defensed.
Hamlin rejoins a safety room that will feature Taylor Rapp, Cole Bishop, and Cam Lewis, along with newly-acquired free agent Darrick Forrest.
A 2021 sixth round draft pick out of Pittsburgh, Hamlin completed his fourth NFL season in 2024—all have been with the Bills.
