Most of Bills Mafia had written off a Jordan Poyer return to Buffalo once he became a free agent after this past season, but it was announced Wednesday that Poyer and the Bills have agreed to a two-year contract.
With Bills fans already overcome with excitement, Poyer took to social Instagram on Wednesday to announce that he’s “not f*cking leaving”:
Poyer will rejoin his counterpart Micah Hyde in 2023 to reestablish the most accomplished and talented safety duo in the league.
The return of Jordan Poyer comes as a relief to Bills fans, coaching staff and teammates as the Bills were 13-1 with Poyer in the lineup last season, with their only loss coming to the Cincinnati Bengals in the Divisional Playoff game. They were 1-3 without him.
The 10-year veteran will return for his seventh season in Buffalo. Poyer was selected to his first Pro Bowl in 2022 and was a First-Team All-Pro in 2021.
We will have to wait and see what the details of the 2-year contract are.
