After a loss in London to the Jaguars in an overall lackluster performance from the Bills the losses did not stop when the game ended. The number of injuries the Bills are dealing with are starting to add up and are losing key players on both sides of the ball.

Matt Milano

Just one week after losing All Pro Tre’Davious White to a season ending Achilles injury, it appears the Bills have also lost All Pro linebacker Matt Milano for the season as well. Milano got rolled up on in a pile and left the game in an air cast. We are still waiting on the full details of what he injured, but we know he has a fractured leg and requires surgery, which could be season ending. This is a huge blow to the Bills defense as Milano has been playing like one of the best linebackers in the league so far, this season. It appears rookie Dorian Williams will be starting in his place going forward, with some big shoes to fill.

Daquan Jones

In quite possibly an equally big loss, Daquan Jones also requires surgery on a torn pec. It is also unclear if this is season ending, but he will for sure miss a large chunk of time. Jones, also, had been one of the best interior lineman in the league so far this year, and will be missed dearly on the D Line. This play appears to be the one he got hurt on.

Christian Benford

Benford injured his shoulder in the Dolphins game in week four and was inactive last week in London. He was limited in practice last week and traveled to London with the team and did some drills on the field pregame. It does not appear that he will be out long term and we should know more about his status for this week as we get closer to Sunday. A sixth-round pick last year out of Villanova, Benford has stood out in his first two seasons and with Tre White out he will probably be stepping into the number one corner role making his return crucial to the Bills secondary.

Gregory Rousseau

Rousseau injured his foot in the Miami game, and also missed Sunday’s game in London.

This also does not appear to be a long term injury, as McDermott told the media yesterday that he is getting better and is day to day. Look for him to probably be limited this week with a decision on his availability being made closer to game time.

Dawson Knox

Knox injured his right wrist during the game on Sunday, he did come back in with a tape job on his wrist and played out the end of the fourth quarter. In his press conference, yesterday McDermott said they will see how he feels during the week.

Dalton Kincaid

Kincaid is in the NFL’s concussion protocol after being checked out after a hit in the fourth quarter on Sunday. He was cleared to return to the game, but must have developed more symptoms after, as he is in concussion protocol this week. It is not out of the question for Kincaid to play Sunday night, but he must clear concussion protocol.

The Bills have become the NFL’s walking wounded and many of these injuries are to key players that the Bills lean heavily on. It now becomes a next man up mentality and we will get a chance to see what some younger players can do when asked to take on a bigger role in the game plan. Every team in the NFL deals with injuries, all that matters is how they handle the situation that they are dealt.
