With 132 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns Sunday against the Jets, James Cook surpassed Marshawn Lynch for 15th on the Bills’ all-time rushing yardage list and currently is in a tie for 13th on the Bills’ all-time rushing touchdowns list.
In two games this season, Cook has averaged 88.0 rushing yards per game, and if he can average only 70 yards over the remaining 15 regular season games, his 4,040 career rushing yards would move him past Travis Henry for sixth on the all-time rushing list.
James Cook’s 2,814 rushing yards ranks 15th on the Bills all-time list.

With 1,036 rushing yards over the remaining 15 games this season (70 yards per game), Cook can surpass Travis Henry for 6th all-time.

Furthermore, if he can reach 12 touchdowns (currently nine away) this season, Cook would have 32 and pass Cookie Gilchrist fouth on the all-time list.
James Cook is 9 rushing touchdowns away from surpassing Cookie Gilchrist (31 TD’s) for 4th on the Bills all-time rushing touchdowns list.

If this happens, the Bills would have TWO players on their roster in the top-4 (Josh Allen is #1).

Cook signed a four-year, $48 million contract extension this offseason which could keep him in Buffalo through the 2029 season.
If Cook keeps his production consistent and fulfills his contract with the Bills, he would likely surpass Fred Jackson and trail only legendary Bills Hall of Fame running backs OJ Simpson and Thurman Thomas on the all-time rushing list.
