Don’t look now, but Bills rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman is building rapport on the field with quarterback Josh Allen. The two are beginning to click. This is a duo that could be deadly for the rest of the league.
In his first six games this season, Coleman averaged 3.3 targets and 33 yards per game—pedestrian numbers in an Allen-led offense.
However, over the past two weeks, Coleman has received seven targets each game and averaged 97.5 yards per game. Proof that he’s gaining the trust of his quarterback.
In the month of October, Keon Coleman ranks 2nd in Receiving YPG amongst all rookies WR’s:

If Coleman averages 66 yards per game over the remaining nine games this season, he’ll break Sammy Watkins’ Bills rookie record for receiving yards.
Coleman’s play is also warranting positive recognition from Pro Football Focus who gave him grades of 74.7 and 76.5 the past two weeks after giving him an average grade of 63.0 over his first six weeks.
Although it’s been a small sample size for Coleman, he’s trending in a positive direction and continues to make strides and build the trust of his coaches and quarterback.
