Mapu, a top-30 pre-draft visit for the Bills, has experience playing outside linebacker, safety, slot and special teams. He is typically positioned inside the box where he can fully utilize his abilities. As a good-sized athlete, he has exceptional diagnostic skills to quickly read pass-run and swarm to the play. With his ability to function as both a linebacker or “big” safety, he can adapt to various schemes and has the potential to be a core special-teamer.

Draft Projection
Mapu is projected as a day three pick in this year’s NFL Draft (rounds 4-7). Given his diverse skillset, he would most likely translate to an outside linebacker at the next level. One thing for certain is that he can play special teams right away.
