Chimere Dike is a fifth-year wide receiver that played four seasons for the Wisconsin Badgers before transferring to the University of Florida to play for the Gators this past season. He was a three-star recruit out of high school where he was also a track and field star. Over his five-year collegiate career, he showed that he can be used in many ways in an offense.
In 2024, Dike was named team captain and appeared in all 13 games for the Gators. He finished the season with 42 receptions on 65 targets for 783 yards and two touchdowns. While the numbers don’t pop, it’s important to note that he was in a run-first offense at Florida which limited his production and ability to showcase his talent.
Chimere Dike is an interesting prospect that I could see the Bills considering during the draft. He’s a projected Day 3 selection but fits what the Bills could want in a depth wide receiver. I gave him a fifth-round grade that has the potential, with the right team, to blossom into a low-end WR2 to high-end WR3.
With wide receiver being a smaller need for the Bills, taking Dike with one of their many Day 3 picks makes a lot of sense. He can help stretch the field for quarterback Josh Allen with his size and speed. Dike is a versatile player and solid run blocker, which is a trait they lost at receiver with the departure of Mack Hollins. While he isn’t a big name, I would love this pick for Buffalo.
