When Brandon Beane traded for Rasul Douglas on Halloween, it was expected that he would serve as the Bills CB1 down the home stretch of the season.
The Bills had lost former All-Pro corner Tre White earlier in the month and the ineffective Kaiir Elam would go to the Injured Reserve two days later.
After two mediocre games versus the Bengals and Broncos in a Bills uniform, Douglas had had his best game so far as a Bill last Sunday versus the Jets, intercepting two passes and recovering a fumble.
Douglas’s PFF grade of 96.3 on Sunday not only led entire Bills team; it was the high grade of all cornerbacks in Week 11.

Rasul Douglas’s play on Sunday was one of the many sparks the Bills needed to dismantle a Jets team that had beaten a fully-healthy Bills team in Week 1 and get back on track down the season’s homestretch.
When Douglas came to the Bills three weeks ago, he immediately became the Bills most effective cornerback—he was even an upgrade over Tre White, who was not playing at his pre-ACL tear level.
