Upcoming Dates you need to know to stay up to date with the Buffalo Bills

The Bills finished their 2022 draft on Saturday, April 30 , and that was just the beginning of a long list of important dates leading up to the start of next season. Next comes the ’22 schedule release, rookie minicamps, OTAs, and eventually Training Camp. Here are several dates that you should schedule on your calendar right now:

May 12: 2022 NFL Schedule Release

I know we have all been very excited for the release of the Bills schedule this year, particularly wondering how many primetime games the Bills will get. One can only assume it will be the max. The question is, who will these primetime games be against? And could the Bills matchup against the defending Super Bowl Champs on Thursday night of Week 1? Tune in at 8pm on ESPN on May 12 to find out.

May 13-15: Rookie Minicamp

The Bills and their new rookies, including Kaiir Elam, James Cook and Matt Araiza, will take the field for the first time with their new team. This will also be a time for UDFA to fight for a spot on the roster and prove why they should’ve been chosen in the draft.

Offseason Voluntary Workouts

Week 1 OTAs: May 23-24, 26
Week 2 OTAs: May 31, June 1-2
Week 3 OTAs: June 6-7, June 9-10

Mandatory Minicamp: June 14-16

Mandatory minicamp is exactly that. A minicamp where the players are required to attend instead of having the option. Bills fans hope to see everyone at minicamp this summer, preparing for possibly the most hype-filled season the Bills have had in the last 30 years. The Bills are consensus Super Bowl favorites this year. And, with a loaded roster, and the right coach and GM leading the way, the last thing the Bills need is drama in the organization to potentially destroy the team’s buzzing chemistry.

Training Camp: Late July – August

The dates for the training camp have not yet been announced. But this is undoubtedly my favorite time of the off-season and I’m sure many of you feel the same way. Especially with the Bills returning to St. John Fisher for a few weeks, it’ll be great for the Bills fans East of Buffalo, including Rochester and Syracuse, and even some looking to make the drive to see the beautiful campus of St. John Fisher and explore a new field and area.

If you have not been to St. John Fisher before, but are planning to go and not sure how it will work on a college campus, do not worry, we will be dropping an article in the weeks leading up to Bills training camp of what to expect at St. John Fisher and how to prepare yourself. It’s certainly shaping up to be an exciting offseason, and the hype will only grow more and more with each passing day.

As always, Go Bills!
