There was a whole lot more good then bad on Monday night.

The Buffalo Bills took down the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3 at Highmark stadium, 47-10. Buffalo dominated from start to finish and never let their foot off the gas. Quarterback Josh Allen had one of his best games and everyone was a contributing factor in the win.

The good

Josh Allen 

Josh Allen was on fire from start to finish in Week 3’s Monday night win. Allen and the Bills offense were efficient in the first half, scoring five touchdowns on five offensive drives. He finished the game 23/30 for 263 passing yards and 4 passing touchdowns. On the ground Allen led the Bills in rushing yards with 44 on 6 carries. 

Receivers

The Bills receiving corps put on a show for Bills Mafia. Khalil Shakir has magnets for hands as he caught 6 of 6 targets for 72 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown. 

Running backs James Cook and Ty Johnson found themselves as reliable pass catchers. Cook finished with 4 receptions for 48 yards, Johnson finished with 3 receptions for 28 yards and a receiving touchdown. 

Rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman scored his first NFL touchdown in the win, taking his only catch 24 yards to the house:

Ray Davis 

Rookie running back Ray Davis scored his first NFL touchdown in Monday night’s win. Davis finished the night with 7 rushes for 22 yards and a score.

Dalton Kincaid  

Dalton Kincaid had one of his better games of the season this week. Kincaid finished the night with 3 receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown. Allen connected with Kincaid in the back of the endzone in the first quarter to go up two scores.

Edge rushers 

The Jacksonville offensive line couldn’t bear the pressure off the edge by the Bills rushers. Defensive end AJ Epenesa had a good night, finishing with 2 total tackles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for loss, and 2 QB hits. Von Miller also got going with 1 sack, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 QB hit. 2020 seventh round draft pick Casey Toohill had 2 total tackles and 1 sack. And, the young buck rookie Javon Solomon had a great night with a sack and a forced fumble, recovered by Toohill.

Secondary 

The Buffalo Bills secondary shut downt he Jags all game long, only allowing 1 passing touchdown. Damar Hamlin was the shining light of the Bills defense finishing his night with 3 tackles, 2 passes defended, and an interception. 

Cam Lewis led the Bills secondary with 8 total tackles and 1 pass defended. Christian Benford played lock down defense with 4 total tackles and 1 pass defended. Rasul Douglas followed Benford with 3 total tackles and 1 pass defended. Kaiir Elam also got involved finishing his night with 3 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 pass defended. 

The bad 

Missed point after attempt

While there wasn’t too much concern in Monday night’s win over the Jaguars, kicker Tyler Bass missed an extra point after their first TD. The ball was blocked by the Jaguars, and it’s something to clean up going forward. The point didn’t matter in the blowout victory but there will be a games where one point will matter.
