Built In Buffalo writers and contributors weigh in on the Bills Week 4 game at the Ravens

Built In Buffalo content producers have collaborated to share their predictions for the Bills Week 4 game on the road against the Baltimore Ravens (both teams sit at 2-1). We hope you enjoy reading our predictions. Let us know your prediction for today’s game!

Daniel Adams: The Bills had a lot of problems with fatigue and injuries last week against the Dolphins and it showed when it mattered. The Bills will try and fix those problems this week by getting a few more healthy players for the Ravens game. The Ravens are a very good team right now and Lamar Jackson is showing why he should be the MVP. According to PFF, the Ravens have the fourth-ranked offense and the tenth-ranked defense. The Ravens also have the most points scored in the NFL with 99.

Dane Jackson and Jordan Poyer are likely to play this week which will help the secondary tremendously. Josh Allen and the Bills offense will bounce back from Week 3 and will look much sharper. Ken Doresy will take control of the offense and use Dawson Knox a lot more. Lamar Jackson will do his thing on offense but the Bills defense will be up to the challenge and control Jackson as much as they can. Josh Allen will carry this Bills team to their third win on the season, advancing to 3-1. Prediction: Bills 28, Ravens 24.

Kam Towle: Through three weeks, the Ravens are allowing the most passing yards in the league (353.3 yards per game), and although there is light rain in the forecast, I don’t think it will be enough to slow down Josh Allen and the Bills passing attack. The Ravens have a history of being one of the most blitz-happy teams in the NFL, so I think Allen will have to find his short outlets when he has to, and that should eventually get the defense creeping up a bit to make windows for downfield throws. I expect a big game from Diggs, and for Singletary and Cook to be active catching passes out of the backfield. In a matchup of two MVP candidates at quarterback, Lamar Jackson will make his share of plays, but the Bills secondary should be healthy enough now to hold off the Ravens passing attack enough to get the win. Prediction: Bills 34, Ravens 21.

Matt Homan: When Buffalo travels to Baltimore, not only will the two best quarterbacks from the 2018 draft go head-to-head; we’ll see the top two MVP candidates dual it out.
Lamar Jackson is having a stellar start to his 2022 campaign, leading the league in passer rating, touchdown passes and he’s also top five in rushing yards. If he can continue his dominance, it might spell trouble for the Bills, who once again will be dealing with defensive injuries.

The temperature is projected to be 62 degrees with rain showers. Ahh, what a difference a week makes.

Buffalo is hopeful to get some of their key players back for week four including cornerback Dane Jackson, safety Jordan Poyer, defensive tackle Ed Oliver and center Mitch Morse. Morse’s absence against Miami was apparent as the Greg Van Roten to Josh Allen center-QB exchange was awful. The Ravens defense hasn’t fared as well as their explosive offense and I think the Bills will bounce back and throw up some points even though it’ll be a rainy day in Baltimore.
Prediction: Bills 34, Ravens 28.
