The Bills have beaten Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, and Aaron Rodgers — all in the same month

The Bills took down the Packers with ease this past Sunday night, winning 27-17, as Rodgers became the third MVP-winning quarterback that Allen and the Bills beat in October. It also marked the third time the Bills have beaten an MVP QB in the last four weeks, with a win over Pittsburgh squeezed in.

Allen is the first quarterback since Troy Aikman to defeat three former MVP quarterbacks in a four game span. With the Cowboys, Aikman defeated Dan Marino, Brett Favre and Steve Young in 1996.

Allen completed this feat by leading comeback wins against the Ravens and Chiefs, as well as putting up 24 points in the first half against Green Bay. That is quite an impressive gauntlet for Josh Allen and the Bills to go through.

Impressively, all three wins were in the same calendar month, which is something that hasn’t been done since 1981:

Allen has led the Bills to a 6-1 record so far this season, throwing for 2,198 yards, 19 touchdowns and 6 interceptions while completing 65.5 percent of his passes. He’s also rushed for 306 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Aside from the second half of the game against Green Bay on Sunday, Allen has played on another level this year compared to his competition. Watching some of these other teams and their quarterbacks, it’s unbelievable how big the talent gap is between Josh Allen and a mid-level team. Even against teams that are performing well right now and winning games.

He’s days better than quarterbacks such as Kirk Cousins, Jimmy Garapolo, Daniel Jones, Ryan Tannehill. Heck, I would even throw in Prescott and Burrow as well.

Aside from Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, and maybe Jalen Hurts, the drop off is very significant in talent. We are truly watching what could be one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time in their prime right now.

This is something we can not take for granted and we need to appreciate every moment we can. Allen is spoiling us with his play. But it’s not just Allen, this is a tremendous team in all phases and with their remaining schedule and the tiebreakers they hold over the rest of the AFC such as the Ravens, Titans and Chiefs, the Bills control their own destiny for that No. 1 seed in the Conference.

The Bills will travel to Rutherford, New Jersey to take on the 5-3 Jets this Sunday, and they are currently 13-point road favorites. Allen and the Bills will look to bounce back from that rough second half against the Packers last week and prove why no one is on their level right now.
