The Buffalo Bills suffered their second straight loss on Sunday to the Minnesota Vikings, their third total loss of the season.

One reason for the loss, among a handful, was that quarterback Josh Allen tried to do too much in certain situations. And, he’ll be the first to admit it. The great news for the Bills is that he has always found a way to improve and show leadership when he has struggled. Here’s some quotes from Allen following the Week 11 loss, courtesy of Mike Giardi of NFL Network:

Allen is stressing that he needs to trust his teammates more. And, his teammates need to be ready to step up. Last week, the Bills lost in overtime to the Vikings by a score of 33-30, ending with an Allen interception. Big plays from Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson and running back Dalvin Cook outshined Allen in this one. Last Sunday, we saw the best game so far of the season, even though the Bills did not come out on top.

On the day, Josh Allen was 29/43 for 330 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Allen also led the Bills in rushing with 84 yards. Stefon Diggs recorded 12 receptions for 128 yards while Gabe Davis added 6 catches for 93 yards and a touchdown.

It’s not that Josh Allen had the worst game of his career. He made a handful of big plays, but Minnesota made big plays of their own (like Jefferson’s ridiculous catch).

When the Bills got behind in overtime, I had a good feeling that Josh Allen would lead them down the field in overtime for the game-winning touchdown. Patrick Peterson had other plans.

Sunday’s loss dropped the Bills to third place in the AFC East behind the Dolphins and the Jets. Right now, the Bills are looking at a Wildcard spot, but they are still one of the top teams in the NFL. The Bills offense needs to fix their red zone struggles, but it’s still a long season. Issues like these are very correctable, but some are mental mistakes too. I am very confident that the Bills will get this fixed. And, what better way to fix offensive struggles than back-to-back dome games?
