Bills OC Ken Dorsey to interview with Panthers Saturday -

It was announced on Wednesday that Bills offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey will interview for the Carolina Panthers head coaching job on Saturday, just one day before the Bills’ divisional round game against the Bengals.

Dorsey was promoted from quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator ahead of the 2022 NFL season due to the departure of Brian Daboll. He has done a bit of an inconsistent job at calling plays for the Bills offense but nonetheless they still finished the regular season 13-3 and posted the second-most offensive yards per game behind Kansas City.

The Panthers fired their head coach Matt Rhule after starting out the season with a 1-4 record, and they finished the season with a record of 7-10 and a second-place finish in the NFC South.

Ken Dorsey and Sean McDermott both coached for the Panthers back in 2016 when the Panthers went to the Super Bowl, so they are no stranger to the Panthers organization. Dorsey going back to Carolina for a head coaching job would definitely be a step up very quickly, going from quarterbacks coach, to offensive coordinator, and possibly head coach in the span of a few years.

The Carolina Panthers are still planning to interview with other people to fill their head coaching vacancy but Dorsey was one of their first requests. We will see as to whether he will become a head coach or stay as the offensive coordinator for the Bills.
