The work is just beginning. Yesterday the Buffalo Bills begin opening phase of offseason workouts. Today, Brandon Beane, Sean McDermott, Josh Allen, Von Miller, and others players speak to the media. In this note, we bring us the best quotes of the day.

About the Draft. 

• Brandon Beane has a clear plan heading into the upcoming NFL Draft – take the best player available on the board. While the team’s big board is not yet finalized, Beane has expressed his openness to trading back if the draft doesn’t fall in their favor.

• In fact, Beane suggests it’s more likely that the team trades back than up, though he acknowledges that he has been aggressive in the past. If the Bills do trade out of the first round, they’re reportedly looking at a minimum of two second-round picks.

Edmunds Replacement

• Brandon Beane praised Tyrel Dodson for his contributions at the linebacker position, filling in for Tremaine Edmunds when he has been unavailable. Dodson has been a solid performer for the Buffalo Bills, earning recognition from the team’s general manager. In 2022, Tyrel Dodson started two games and also replaced Edmunds during Week 10 against Minnesota after playing 30 snaps. Additionally, in 2021, Dodson filled in for Edmunds during Week 2 against Miami.
