“The order of the factors does not alter the product” is a mathematical statement that implies that the order in which numbers are multiplied does not affect the result. However, when it comes to the NFL schedule, the difficulty of opponents and the timing of the games can significantly impact a team’s success. The Buffalo Bills were aware of their opponents since January, but the release of the official calendar for the 2023 regular season confirms that they will face one of the toughest schedules in recent years. Their strength of schedule is .542, which ranks fifth in the league, and they will face nine of the thirteen teams that made the playoffs last season. Despite this, it’s worth noting that some teams, like the NFC East, may have had easier schedules, which could inflate their win totals.
