The Buffalo Bills played a great game today defeating the Miami Dolphins 48-20 and returning to the top of the AFC East division with a record of 3-1.

The Good

Josh Allen

Josh Allen played an outstanding game finishing the day 21/25 on pass completions for a total of 320 passing yards and 4 touchdown passes while tacking on 4 rushes for 17 yards and a rushing touchdown. Allen was very patient in the pocket and took what the defense gave him which was very evident in their win today.

Josh Allen became the second player in NFL history with 300+ passing yards, 4+ passing touchdowns, 1 rushing touchdown and the highest possible passer rating with 158.3 in a single game.

Stefon Diggs

Stefon Diggs was Allen’s number one guy today as he targeted Diggs 7 total times today and racked in 6 of those targets for a total of 120 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. Diggs’ longest reception on the day was for 55 yards.

Stefon Diggs became the second Bills player with three receiving touchdowns in a game against the Dolphins while this is Diggs’ third game with three receiving touchdowns as a Bills receiver which passes Lee Evans for the most in franchise history.

Gabe Davis

Gabe Davis also had a very solid performance today receiving all 3 of his total targets for 61 yards and a touchdown which opened the game for Buffalo.

Run Game

The Bills did a great job running the ball today pairing both James Cook and Latavius Murray for a good day on the ground. Murray led the Bills with 32 total yards on only 4 carries while Cook had 12 carries for 29 yards and added on a touchdown.

Damien Harris had 6 carries for a total of 29 yards. Josh Allen also got involved carrying the ball 4 times for 17 yards and a touchdown.

Defense

The Bills defense played outstanding today, the talk going into this game was how much the Dolphins put up against the Broncos the week prior but the Bills were more then up to the task holding the explosive Miami offense to only 20 points.

Matt Milano led the defense with 10 total tackles and 8 solo tackles. The Bills defense combined for 57 total tackles, 4 sacks and 5 tackles for loss. Terrel Bernard had a fumble recovery for the second week in a row while on the other hand Micah Hyde had an interception for the second week in a row.

The Bad

Injuries

While many Bills fans are ecstatic about today’s win many take into account the loss of cornerback Tre’Davious White. White suffered a season ending ACL tear grade 3 injury in 2021 on Thanksgiving today and worked his way back both mentally and physically.

Today Tre’Davious White suffered a non-contact Achilles injury which took him out of today’s game in the third quarter.
