It was announced on Tuesday that the Buffalo Bills promoted Bobby Babich to their open Defensive Coordinator position vacated by Head Coach Sean McDermott, who called defensive plays during the 2023 season.
Babich came to Buffalo in 2017 as an Assistant Defensive Backs Coach and in 2018, took the role of Safeties Coach. Babich was instrumental in creating one of the greatest safety duos in league history with Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer.
In 2022, Babich took on the role of Linebackers Coach and drew praise for the emergence of Tremaine Edmunds, Matt Milano and Terrel Bernard.
Babich takes over a Bills defense that ranked top-10 in in yards allowed and points allowed in 2023.
