In a day that has seen five (and counting) Bills players get released, the Bills have decided to cut former All-Pro cornerback Tre’Davious White. The Bills have elected to make him a post June first cut, which will save the team $10.2 Million against the cap in 2024.
White who is coming off a torn Achilles that he suffered in week four this past season and a torn ACL from Thanksgiving back in 2021 is free to sign elsewhere as early as next week.
In what is yet another salary cap causality, this one hits hard. While it is a business and these moves needed to be made, Tre has been a beloved player in Buffalo since day one. A first-round pick back in 2017 he was the first draft pick of the Sean McDermott era and was a starter from the first time he set foot in the building. He was a two-time Pro Bowler, a first team All Pro, and led the league in interceptions in 2019.
Tre White will be missed, both on and off the field. A lot of people in Buffalo will be rooting for him wherever he may end up.
