The Bills will receive a 2025 second round pick from the Texans in exchange.

It is not yet known when the trade will be official, but it is possible that the Bills will carry over $30M in dead cap money by trading Diggs.

The Bills wide receiver room now has only three wide receivers who are likely to make the 53-man roster including Curtis Samuel, Khalil Shakir, Mack Hollins and possibly Justin Shorter.

Diggs’s 2023 season started off strong, averaging 86.8 yards per game in the Bills first 10 games along with 7 touchdowns; however, the Bills record fell to 5-5 and their offense was inconsistent, yielding the firing of offensive coordinator, Ken Dorsey.

The Bills promoted Joe Brady to offensive coordinator prior to their week 11 game versus the Jets and the Bills offense began playing like their old selves, however Diggs production plummeted, averaging 45 yards per game with only one touchdown in their remaining 7 games.  The Bills record was 6-1 during this stretch.

With a deep 2024 wide receiver class, Buffalo will likely use multiple picks at the wide receiver position.
