Overview
KC Concepcion is a 21-year-old wide receiver out of Texas A&M where he played his final year of college football after transferring from NC State. Concepcion is known for being an elite playmaker in the slot along with his explosive ability. As a true freshman in 2023 at NC State, Concepcion started 11 of 12 games and racked up 71 receptions for 839 yards and 10 touchdowns, while also being used as a ball carrier with 41 rushes for 320 yards. These numbers earned him ACC Rookie of the Year and ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Following his first two seasons, he entered the transfer portal and joined the Aggies where he put up his best numbers as a receiver in 2025, finishing with 61 catches for 919 yards and nine touchdowns. He was also used as a punt return specialist at Texas A&M, where he had 26 attempts for 456 yards and two touchdowns. Concepcion declared for the 2026 NFL Draft following the Aggies loss to Miami in the first round of the college football playoffs.

Strengths
- Possesses great acceleration at the receiver position, giving him the natural ability to create separation out of the slot.
- Explosive out of cuts which makes it hard for any defensive back or linebacker in the slot to contain him.
- Versatile after the catch, displays great vision and the ability to make defenders miss.
- Despite his smaller frame, he displays strong hands and body control.
- He can locate soft spots in zone coverage, while also having the deep speed ability to stretch the field vertically.
- A proven punt return specialist who can flip a game with the ball in his hands.
Weaknesses
- Smaller build which limits his abilities as a receiver on the outside, can get thrown off his route.
- Has drop concerns, particularly over the middle when taking on contact.
- Sustaining blocks from the slot on run plays
Draft Projection
Many analysts have Concepcion listed as a late-first to a second-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The wide receiver class this year is deep, which pushes a player like Concepcion down the board and makes him a higher likely target for the Bills who pick at No. 26. Buffalo recently made a trade with Chicago to obtain star wide out DJ Moore who will immensely help the receiver room, but targeting a receiver in round one is not off the board despite the trade. Concepcion could be a great addition to the Bills’ developing receiver corps, adding a level of speed and versatility that Buffalo is lacking.
